SUMMARY:Beginner Guitar Class
DESCRIPTION:Our Beginner Guitar Small Group Class is open to beginner guitar students ages 9 to 14 years old. Each 30-minute weekly class is great for kids that are new to guitar and want to learn how to play! Each student will work on their own guitar in class\, will be able to progress at their own pace and have opportunities in class to perform for their peers in a fun\, and encouraging environment! \nOpen Enrollment – enroll anytime!\nBeginner Guitar Small Group Class Sessions:\nTuesday: 5:00pm\nThursday: 5:00pm \nPlease see our studio calendar for studio closure dates when classes may not be held. \nMonthly Tuition\nTuition – $103/Month + $35 Registration Fee\nTuition costs are $103 per month\, classes will continue monthly on an ongoing basis. Class tuition will be charged at the beginning of each month.

SUMMARY:Rock Band: Fall Session
DESCRIPTION:If you’ve always wanted to be in a rock band – these classes are for you!  We’re inviting students to join our rock band groups where you’ll learn the ins and outs of being in a band\, what it’s like to play alongside other musicians\, to listen to each other and learn how to play off each other through non-verbal cues.  Students participating in these classes will learn the basic form of a song\, they’ll participate in choosing the music their band is going to learn and perform AND they get to choose their own band name! There’s a lot packed into this fun and exciting 8-week session with a live performance at the end … come join the fun! DESCRIPTION:This ensemble/class is for: \n\nBeginning to intermediate ukulele\, guitar\, piano\, bass guitar\, and drum set students.\nBeginning to intermediate voice\, strings\, woodwinds\, and brass students.\nAges 3 – 18\n\nIn this ensemble/class you will: \n\nLearn about basic song form\nPlay songs using only a few easy chords\nPlay songs with other students\nLearn dynamics (volume)\nLearn new rhythms\nLearn the difference between “practice” and “rehearsal”\n\nOptional: \n\nLearn how to arrange songs and even write songs\nLearn how to write lyrics in basic song form\nLearn how to write and improvise a melody over chord changes\nWrite new songs as a group\n\nPrerequisites (if you don’t know any of these\, ask your private teacher): \nAll students should know the names of the notes and chords that they know how to play. \nUkulele students should know the chords CM\, Am\, FM\, Dm\, and GM (and eventually DM\, Em\, and maybe AM). Your ukulele must be tuned before coming to class. \nGuitar students should know the chords Am\, Em\, CM\, DM\, and GM (and eventually Dm\, AM\, and maybe EM). Your guitar must be tuned before coming to class. Guitar students must also have a capo. \nBass Guitar students should know the notes A\, B\, C\, D\, E\, F\, G (and eventually Low E\, Low F\, Low G\, High A\, High B\, and maybe High C). Your bass guitar must be tuned before coming to class. \nDrum Set students should know how to read rhythms (notes and rests) and how to read drum set notation on the staff. \nPiano students should know how to read notes on the staff (treble clef and bass clef)\, Middle C Position\, C Position\, and G Position (and eventually chords like CM\, Dm\, FM\, GM\, Am\, and maybe DM\, Em\, and AM). \nVoice\, strings\, woodwinds\, and brass students should know how to read notes on the staff (in the appropriate clef for your voice/instrument). \nMaestro Band Class – Classes Held in Studio B\nThursdays: 7:00 – 8:00pm \nSession: October 9th – Dec 18th at 7:00pm\n*No Sessions on 11/27 \nTuition – $325 + $35 Registration Fee
