Elizabeth Hansen – Piano & Voice

Elizabeth “LJ” Hansen is a singer and writer with a background in piano. She began her musical journey with several years of private piano lessons, which turned into a passion for musical theater in high school and classical singing in college. She recently graduated from CU Boulder with a Bachelor of Arts in Music (Voice Emphasis). Her education gave her an extensive background in choral singing through her participation in CU’s Treble Chorus, University Choir, and University Singers. She also was a founding member of Renova, a student organized choir specializing in performing the works of student composers. As a soloist, she has experience singing in English, Italian, French, and German, and has an extensive repertoire of Art Songs. Some of her previous appearances include CU’s Persevering Legacy Concert in 2022, where she performed “I grew a rose” by Florence Price; her senior recital featuring The Six Songs of Emily Dickinson by John Duke, and a new art song by Aric Vhymeister featuring Hansen’s own poetry.  Elizabeth is currently teaching voice and piano lessons at Maestro Music Institute.
