Jake Glaza – Voice, Piano, Guitar, Drums and Ukulele

Jake Glaza grew up in small-town Iowa in a musical family and took to singing and playing music at a young age. As a teen, he played guitar and sang in a rock band and was involved in drumline, choir, jazz band, show choir, and musicals.

Jake has studied at multiple music schools. He received his associate’s degree in jazz studies at SWCC School for Music Vocations and then received his bachelor’s degree in music and voice at the University of Iowa. At these programs, he sharpened his musical skills by learning piano, composition, and classical and lyrical voice. He also studied music theory and music history, and was involved in numerous solo and ensemble performances both as a singer and as an instrumentalist.

Nowadays, Jake spends his days in North Denver with his wife, Shelby, and their dog, Otis. His hobbies include running, hiking, reading, video/board games, movies, and basketball. He is passionate about teaching newer musicians the ropes in singing, piano, drums, guitar, and ukelele, all while helping students gain more knowledge and confidence with reading and playing music of various styles.
