Joshua Zabatta never imagined that singing while driving a tractor on the Montana farm where he grew up would eventually lead to a career as an opera singer, teacher, and piano technician. His singing career has led him to perform in 48 of the 50 states and 14 countries. Notable performances include serving as soloist in Wozzeck with the St. Louis Symphony.
Since relocating to Colorado, Mr. Zabatta made his debut with Opera Colorado singing the role of Harry in Puccini’s La Fanciulla del West plus work with Boulder Opera and Central City Opera. In addition to his performance work, Joshua Zabatta shares his music by teaching voice and piano lessons as well as providing masterclasses and workshops to schools throughout the region. Mr. Zabatta also serves as piano technician in residence and faculty for the Rushmore Chamber Music Festival in the Black Hills.
