  • July 8 - 12, 2024 : 9:00am to 1:30pm  (drop off begins at 8:45am, camp starts promptly at 9:00am) Have you or someone you know always wanted to learn a musical instrument but just don't know which one to learn, or do you want to expand your musical knowledge and pick up a second, third, or even fourth instrument? If so, then this year's General Music Summer Camp here at Maestro Music Institute is the right place to be. We have comprised a week-long series of half-day camps that will help you to achieve all of these things. This Summer Camp is designed to allow you to test the waters in a fun, safe, and ensemble-based week that will have a small performance at the conclusion. We will be offering strings, piano, voice, and Rock Band. Come join us and make music and some new friends along the way. This camp will be open to ages 6-12. Hope to see you this summer!     • How to bring a song idea to a full, lush, and competitive production
    Our new program will be lead by our instructor Joey Ennulat. A professional music producer, musician, and audio engineer. He has had songs signed to labels, years of experience working with local artists, and having produced, mixed, and mastered hundreds of songs for the Denver community.   • Piano II Class is open to students 7 to 9 years old. This class is great for kids that have some piano experience and want to continue to improve their skills and learn more! Each student will work on their own keyboard in class, will be able to progress at their own pace and have opportunities in class to perform for their peers in a fun, and encouraging environment!   • June 17 - 21, 2024 : 9:00am to 12:00pm  (drop off begins at 8:45am, camp starts promptly at 9:00am) Elevate your piano playing to new heights in our intermediate piano ensemble workshop. Tailored for those with a foundational understanding of the piano, this half-day workshop focuses on collaborative piano performance, technique refinement, and the joy of creating music together. Workshop Highlights:
    1. Ensemble Dynamics: Dive into the world of collaborative piano playing, exploring the nuances of ensemble dynamics and communication.
    2. Repertoire: Engage in composition(s) carefully selected to challenge and inspire intermediate-level pianists.
    3. Technical Mastery: Receive targeted guidance to refine your piano technique, addressing key aspects such as finger agility, expression, and balance within an ensemble.
    4. Musical Interpretation: Learn the art of musical interpretation, exploring ways to convey emotion and storytelling through your piano playing in a group setting.
    5. Short Ensemble Performance: Conclude the workshop with a brief ensemble performance, allowing participants to showcase their collaborative and individual achievements.
    Prerequisites:
    • Intermediate-level proficiency on the piano.
    • Ability to read sheet music.
    • Open to pianists with a passion for ensemble playing.
    Audition Requirements: A video of the student playing should be submitted for their audition.  Students should play 2 octave scales in at least 3 major keys (except C major) and play two contrasting solo pieces suitable to their skill level.
    • Video submissions should be no longer than 12 minutes.
    • Video Audition Deadline: Friday, March 22, 2024. Audition results will be posted by March 26th. Students will receive their parts by March 31st.

    • 5% discount for students that study more than 1 instrument (only applies to students that study multiple instruments weekly. For students that alternate instruments, ie: 2 weeks-piano and 2 weeks-voice or another instrument, this does not apply)
    • 5% referral credit: this is new! If you refer a student to us that registers for lessons, you’ll receive a 5% discount for their first month of lessons! They’ll need to mention you as the referral for this to take effect. It is not retroactive and cannot be transferred to another party.
  • If you’ve always wanted to be in a rock band - these classes are for you!  We’re inviting students to join our rock band groups where you’ll learn the ins and outs of being in a band, what it’s like to play alongside other musicians, to listen to each other and learn how to play off each other through non-verbal cues.  Students participating in these classes will learn the basic form of a song, they’ll participate in choosing the music their band is going to learn and perform AND they get to choose their own band name! There’s a lot packed into this fun and exciting 8-week session with a live performance at the end ... come join the fun! Classes start soon!
